The Current Federal Government is ignoring institutional norms and clear legal and constitutional guidelines in its pursuit of totalitarian power. The government does not currently fear the people, representing a severe breakdown in American values and government accountability. The justice system and federal agencies are increasingly weaponized to target political opponents and strip citizens of their constitutional rights without due process. Checks and balances are failing as clear judicial rulings on constitutional rights are routinely ignored. Free speech and the right to bear arms are simultaneously under attack, threatening the two most foundational pillars of a free society, pushing our democratic society towards an authoritarian one. In these troubling times, it is essential that the people of America recognize that they are ultimately the ones who hold the power. One of the clearest ways to flex that power is through organized economic protest. Americans pay about 100 Billion each month in rent. A nationwide rent strike could force the government to answer to the will of the people. Any politician that defies the constitution can be force out by the powerful leverage of vast and sustained economic protest. A nationwide rent strike can act as an economic lever to force elected leaders to finally follow the Constitution. The campaign will use dedicated Community Engagement and Grassroots Power to tackle these constitutional issues from the ground up and Force public accountability hearings for politicians who willfully adopt policies or draft and pass laws they know violate the Constitution. Tim has direct, front-line experience fighting for citizens as a constitutional lawyer. His primary specialty is tenants’ rights and organization, a role in which he has won millions for his clients against large corporate landlords. Tim has also brought cases in state and federal courts to restore second amendment rights to citizens. The government wants people to think of themselves as weak or broke, so that everyone is afraid to be the first person to stand up to governmental power.
